The vineyards are carefully cultivated in a traditional way, and for example the land is tilled instead of using any herbicides, and all tasks from pruning to harvesting are done by hand, in a reasonable and sustainable way.
The low production per hectare and the age of the vineyards guarantee an excellent quality of the raw material. Vinification is carried out at Viña Salceda’s own facilities, where the process is exhaustively controlled to ensure that the wines reflect the excellent qualities of the grapes.

Viña Salceda is located in Elciego, and enjoys an optimal microclimate that accompanies the ripening of the fruit and the birth of the wines of the winery.
Our vineyards are located on the south and southeast slopes, at an altitude of 410 to 450 meters, next to the Ebro River and the confluence of the Mayor River, where the winds are the breath and cooling of the vineyards, especially in the hottest periods of the summer.

Around the Viña Salceda winery there are hills, ravines, valleys and terraces of clay-limestone soil. The roots of the vines get from it a sober, just right nutrition, perfect for the grapes to grow fine and balanced. And deep down, the sandstone bedrock holds the secret to the purity of our wines.
